Of course, there is another “advantage” from Obama’s point of view to this deal. When we scurry out of Afghanistan they will be FORCED to go to Russia for technical aid, spare parts and training. That works into the promises made to the Russians that they will be allowed back into Afghanistan to fill the vacuum we are deliberately creating. They were promised perhaps the finest protected port in the Western hemisphere — Guantanamo Bay. He hasn’t been able to deliver that…..YET.
